The Summer Season is Upon Us

Summer is always an exciting time in farm country — warm sun (or in the case of Wisconsin hot sun), fresh produce, and the general fun of being outdoors.  Recently, we’ve received a lot of press mostly good, but some has been so so; we’re accepting of criticism, and we welcome anything that is constructive that helps improve our local food supply.  We’re constantly innovating, building features, improving quality, etc.  We are listening to what our users need and want — so to our critics we’re asking them to engage with, follow our progress, and support local food.

What we can promise is an honest dialogue with our stakeholders, willingness to engage and listen to everyone, and our best effort to try and build out tools and resources that help local producers buy and sell their products.  An important part of this activity is outreach and support, and people on the front line willing to help out.  We’ve hired a number of summer interns, and are still looking for more programmers (LAMP stack people). You’ll be hearing from our interns all summer: Ali, Christina, Renee, Derek, Sam, Patrick, and Cameron (not pictured).
